Monday, June 12

Startup Grind Beijing Hosts Chen Yuu and Tian Luan
Startup Grind is the latest independent startup community, actively educating, inspiring, and connecting startups internationally. This talk hosts Chen Yu, senior vice president and co-founder of YeePay, a leading e-payment service provider in China, and Tian Luan, who is in charge of several business modules including global incubation. Film Screening of Passionate Politics and Discussion with American Feminist Charlotte Bunch
Charlotte Bunch, founding director and senior scholar at the Center for Women's Global Leadership (CWGL) at Rutgers University, is an activist, writer, and organizer of feminist, LGBT, and human rights movements. A distinguished professor in women and gender studies, Bunch was also previously a Fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies in DC, a founder of Washington DC Women’s Liberation, and of Quest: A Feminist Quarterly.

Passionate Politics: The Life and Work of Charlotte Bunch, documents Bunch's achievements in these areas and will be on hand to talk about her past 25 years experience working in human rights and women’s rights movements.

Benefits and Challenges in the Process of Automation
DayDayUp and the German Chamber of Commerce cohost this roundtable on the benefits and challenges of industrial automation. Blood Drive
Be positive or be negative – but give your blood at this volunteer blood drive at the Oasis International Hospital. Donors will receive a mini first aid kit as a thank you from the hospital, as a memento to remind them that they’ve helped someone in need. Please bring your passport, and don’t take any medication that affects the blood (like aspirin) for three days prior to donating. Free. 9-11.30am. Oasis International Hospital
 

Thursday, June 15

This is Living: Co-Living and Lifestyle Q&A and Networking
Jointhis stimulating evening of talks, networking, and New Zealand hospitality, hosted by the Hatchery team in partnership with KEA, New Zealand’s borderless nation. Come and learn about recent trends and developments across two contrasting urban landscapes as well as the growth of co-living and the shared economy in both New Zealand and China. The Champs Elysees Orchestra NCPA
The Champs Elysees Orchestra will appear under the direction of Philippe Herreweghe for a concert at the National Centre for Performing Arts. The Orchestra is known for its focus on music composed between approximately 1750 until the early 20th century – Haydn to Mahler. They perform on instruments from the period of the composer’s lifespan. RMB 170-545. 7.30pm onwards. NCPA

Rembrandt and His Time: Masterpieces from The Leiden Collection
As part of its mission to stimulate a wider appreciation and understanding of 17th century Dutch art, The Leiden Collection’s first international traveling exhibition will bring a group of some seventy works to the National Museum of China, Beijing from June 17 through September 3.
