Play: Lovers, by Brian Thiel
A Chinese-language version of the play Lovers by the playwright Brian Thiel, known to some as the ‘Irish Chekov,’ will take place at the Beijing Super Theatre. The play has two sections; the first follows a pair of teenage lovers – Margaret Mary and Joseph – who are expecting a baby out of wedlock. The second section concerns two middle-aged lovers whose relationship is constantly thwarted by noisy neighbors.
